Community Based Work Assessment
A program which provides vocational assessment within competitive job sites consistent with the individual's interests and capabilities. The individual will perform various job tasks during the assessment period, in which work habits, skills, and aptitudes will be evaluated. A job coach accompanies the individual, providing assistance as necessary. Results of the assessment enable the individual to pursue vocational objectives.
Job Development / Placement
Pierce Jones & Associates helps individuals with disabilities, and those with barriers to employment in obtaining and maintaining integrated, competitive employment within the community. Services may include job development and job search assistance, including completion of applications, resume writing, and interviewing techniques.
Job Training & Retention
Once employment is obtained a job coach provides onsite job training in addition to supplementing any formal training by the employer. This could include anything from task analysis to time management. All supports are individualized. Job coaches are available to all employees from the start of employment until minimal additional supports are needed. Job coaches can also provide travel training, advocacy, and evaluations for any necessary adaptations to the work place environment.
